ICAI launches 65th Campus Placement Programme for newly qualified Chartered Accountants

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced the 65th Campus Placement Programme for newly qualified Chartered Accountants, primarily targeting candidates who cleared the CA Final Examination held in May 2026. The placement initiative will connect eligible candidates with organisations across multiple sectors through a structured recruitment platform.The programme has received registration from 6,399 newly qualified Chartered Accountants out of 7,931 candidates who passed the May 2026 CA Final examination. In the first phase, 78 organisations are participating and have announced 5,339 vacancies for candidates seeking career opportunities.Placement programme to cover 29 centresThe ICAI Campus Placement Programme will provide recruitment opportunities in areas including finance, taxation, audit, consulting, risk management, analytics, banking, manufacturing and information technology.Physical interviews will be conducted across 29 centres in India during August and September 2026. The placement process will be organised in phases, covering major cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad and Jaipur.ICAI Campus Placement Programme 2026 schedule

Technology-based recruitment process introducedICAI stated that the placement programme has been designed as a technology-driven platform to connect newly qualified Chartered Accountants with employers. The initiative includes employer outreach activities, candidate orientation programmes, psychometric and aptitude assessments, career counselling and industry-focused capacity-building programmes.ICAI President CA. Prasanna Kumar D said the placement programme provides a platform for leading employers to recruit professionally trained Chartered Accountants and enables candidates to explore career opportunities across industries and locations.Previous placement performanceThe 63rd Campus Placement Programme conducted during April and May 2026 resulted in placements for more than 2,570 candidates.
