NEW DELHI: Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (IIT Kharagpur) has announced the creation of additional MTech seats for the academic year 2026-27 under its Director’s Platinum Jubilee Scheme. The initiative has been introduced to expand postgraduate education opportunities across selected strategic disciplines involving multiple departments, centres and schools.The additional seats will be offered through the regular MTech admission process based on valid GATE scores and will follow the existing admission norms of the institute. The initiative has been launched as part of IIT Kharagpur’s 75-year celebrations.Additional postgraduate opportunities announcedThe Platinum Jubilee Scheme aims to increase access to advanced technical education in areas linked with emerging national priorities.
