India demolish Pakistan 19-0 to storm into Women’s Hockey Junior Asia Cup semi-finals

India booked their place in the semi-finals of the 2026 Women’s Junior Asia Cup after beating Pakistan 19-0 in the quarter-final in Moqi, China, on Thursday.The defending champions had already topped their group after beating Japan, Malaysia and South Korea. They will now face the winner of the South Korea vs Malaysia quarter-final for a place in the final.India took the lead in the seventh minute through Puja Sahoo and continued to score throughout the match. Roshni Aind doubled the lead two minutes later before Tanushree Dinesh Kadu, Sukhveer Kaur and Sanika Chandrakant Mane added more goals.Mane scored again in the 23rd minute, while Tanuja Toppo, Pooja Malik and Purnima Yadav also found the net before half-time. India went into the break 10-0 ahead.The goals continued after the restart. Malik completed her hat-trick with goals in the 49th and 51st minutes, while Supriya scored twice. Krishna Sharma, Binima Dhan and Roshni also added to Pakistan’s problems, with Roshni scoring again in the final minute to complete the 19-0 win.India are now two wins away from completing a hat-trick of Women’s Junior Asia Cup titles. They won the tournament in 2023 and 2024.India’s goals:
