Kartik Aaryan has broken his silence on social media after suffering a knee injury while filming his upcoming sports drama with director Kabir Khan. Now recuperating at home, the actor gave fans a glimpse into his hospital stay, his injury and the road to recovery.On Sunday, August 23, Kartik posted a series of pictures and videos on Instagram. In one image, he can be seen with his injured leg secured in a knee brace, while another carried the cheeky message, “Foot out of service.”A black-and-white photograph from what appears to be a Mumbai hospital showed the actor seated on a hospital bed, with IV cannulas visible in his left hand. The post also featured throwback moments of Kartik running and undergoing rigorous training for the film.Adding his trademark humour to the situation, Kartik captioned the post, “Kabir sir said – Break a leg,” turning the unfortunate injury into a playful reference to the familiar expression associated with wishing someone good luck.The actor was injured on August 18 while filming a demanding action sequence for Kabir Khan’s upcoming project. The accident occurred during the final phase of the shoot, after which Kartik was admitted to Fortis Raheja Hospital in Mahim, Mumbai. He later underwent surgery on his knee and has since returned home to recuperate.Kartik’s spokesperson confirmed that the operation went smoothly and that the actor is focused on getting back on his feet. “His surgery was completed successfully, and he is now back home, resting and recovering. He will be back on set soon.”There had been speculation that the injury might disrupt the film’s production schedule. However, Kabir Khan reportedly put those concerns to rest, maintaining that the project is continuing as planned.The untitled film reunites Kartik and Kabir after their previous collaboration, ‘Chandu Champion’. It also marks a significant milestone for Kartik, who is stepping into the role of producer with the sports drama under his own banner.The film draws inspiration from an extraordinary sporting journey and features Kartik as a kickboxing coach who trains a young girl from Kashmir. The story is reportedly inspired by Tajamul Islam, the Kashmiri kickboxing champion who rose to international prominence through her achievements in the sport.While Kartik’s latest post offers a candid look at his recovery, his message also suggests that the actor is determined to return to the set once he has fully recovered.
