Actor-filmmaker Kunal Kemmu is set to reunite Pratik Gandhi, Divyenndu and Avinash Tiwary for a sequel to their 2024 hit ‘Madgaon Express’. The trio will once again headline the film, which is expected to go on floors early next year as pre-production gathers pace. Let’s learn more in detail.

According to the Mid-Day report, “The three actors are kicked about returning to their much-loved characters. If things go as planned, the film will go on floors around February or March 2027. The pre-production is underway.”Kunal Kemmu, who wrote and directed the original film, has also penned the script for ‘Madgaon Express 2’. Reports suggest he locked the screenplay a month ago, signalling that the project is moving steadily toward production.

The report further revealed that Kemmu wants the sequel to feel like a natural progression of the trio’s story rather than a forced continuation. It added, “Kunal sees the sequel as a natural extension to the friendship and adventures of the trio.”

While the sequel takes shape behind the scenes, Kunal Kemmu also has another project releasing soon. His film ‘Vibe’, starring Preity Zinta and Sparsh Shrivastava alongside Kemmu himself, is scheduled to hit theatres on September 18. Kemmu has both led and directed the film.
