In a recent interview with Rekha Menon, Nivin Pauly spoke about the 30-35 days of shooting that are still pending for his character in ‘Benz.’ He revealed that he had agreed to keep his beard throughout his portions when he signed the film, but the repeated delays have made it difficult to move ahead with other projects. Jokingly addressing the makers, Nivin Pauly said, “I’m sick and tired of calling them about this. Guys, at least after watching this interview, please make a decision and complete the film.” His light-hearted statement reflects how long the actor has been waiting to finally close his work on the project.

‘Benz’ delay forces Nivin Pauly to maintain same beard look across films

The delay in ‘Benz’ has also affected Nivin Pauly’s appearance in several of his recent projects. Since continuity is important for his role, the actor has had to retain the beard he grew for the Tamil action film. He had initially planned to remove it for ‘Bethlehem Kudumba Un’it and his upcoming Malayalam film with Rukmini Vasanth and Aju Varghese. However, the pending ‘Benz’ portions forced him to maintain the look. The beard has consequently remained part of his appearance across films such as ‘Sarvam Maya,’ ‘Prathichaya,’ and ‘Bethlehem Kudumba Unit.’

Nivin Pauly began shooting for ‘Benz’ in October 2025 after being introduced as Twin Fish Walter, a character positioned against Raghava Lawrence’s protagonist. Directed by Bakkiyaraj Kannan, the film is the fourth project connected to the Lokesh Cinematic Universe after ‘Kaithi,’ ‘Vikram,’ and ‘Leo.’ Lokesh Kanagaraj is producing the film along with Sudhan Sundaram and Jagadish Palanisamy. Nivin had completed the first schedule by November 2025, but the remaining work has taken longer than expected. Ravi Mohan and Samyuktha are also part of the cast. Meanwhile, Nivin Pauly has moved on to a new Malayalam project with Rukmini Vasanth and Aju Varghese, leaving fans hoping that his long-awaited ‘Benz’ schedule will finally reach its finish line soon.
