East Coast Railway has invited applications for 1,421 posts through the General Departmental Competitive Examination (GDCE). Eligible candidates can apply online through the official website of Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), Bhubaneswar, at rrcbbs.org.in.The registration process will begin on August 15, 2026, and candidates can submit their applications till September 14, 2026.The recruitment drive is being conducted for posts including Assistant Loco Pilot, Station Master, Goods Trains Manager, Junior Engineer and Technician.

- Assistant Loco Pilot: 1,046 posts
- Station Master: 12 posts
- Goods Trains Manager: 284 posts
- Junior Engineer: 22 posts
- Technicians: 51 posts
- Junior Clerk cum Typist: 4 posts
- Commercial Clerk cum Ticket Collector: 2 posts
Selection process
Candidates will be selected through a Computer-Based Test (CBT), followed by an Aptitude Test or Typing Skill Test, wherever applicable.Candidates who qualify will then have to appear for Document Verification and a Medical Examination.Shortlisting for document verification will be based on candidates’ marks and merit in the CBT or Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT), as applicable to the respective post and pay level.There will be negative marking in the CBT. For every wrong answer, one-third of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted. However, there will be no negative marking in the CBAT.
