Aamir Khan set to be a part of 'Race 4'? Producer Ramesh Taurani breaks silence: 'Refrain from speculations'

Speculation surrounding the cast of Race 4 has been building, with names such as Aamir Khan, Sidharth Malhotra and Tiger Shroff reportedly linked to the upcoming thriller. However, producer Ramesh Taurani has now put the rumours to rest, clarifying that the fourth chapter of the Race franchise is still without a confirmed cast.Recent reports claimed that Aamir, Sidharth and Tiger were being considered for key roles in the film, while Vijay Krishna Acharya was said to be in contention for the director’s chair. Taurani has now asked media outlets and social media platforms to refrain from treating unconfirmed reports as fact until the makers make an official announcement. On Monday, the producer posted a statement on Instagram addressing the ongoing speculation.“We would like to clarify that the cast of Race 4 has not yet been finalized. We sincerely request the media and social media pages to refrain from speculation and from engaging with or circulating any unverified or false news regarding the cast,” the statement read. The statement also made it clear that the makers will reveal the lineup once the casting process is complete.“Once the cast is finalized, we will make an official announcement from our end. Until then, we kindly request everyone to wait for an official confirmation before reporting or sharing any information,” the statement added. The clarification comes at a time when several reports have suggested that Aamir Khan, Sidharth Malhotra and Tiger Shroff could be part of the upcoming film. Vijay Krishna Acharya has also been mentioned as a possible director. The filmmaker has previously collaborated with Aamir on Dhoom 3 and Thugs Of Hindostan. At present, however, there is no official confirmation regarding either the cast or the director of Race 4.The Race franchise began in 2008 with Abbas-Mustan’s slick thriller Race. The film featured Saif Ali Khan, Akshaye Khanna, Katrina Kaif, Bipasha Basu, Sameera Reddy and Anil Kapoor and went on to become a box-office success, paving the way for a sequel.Five years later, Race 2 hit theatres in 2013, again directed by Abbas-Mustan. Saif and Anil Kapoor reprised their roles, while John Abraham, Deepika Padukone, Jacqueline Fernandez and Ameesha Patel were added to the ensemble. The first two instalments followed a connected storyline and became popular for their elaborate schemes, betrayals, changing alliances and unexpected twists. The franchise underwent a major overhaul with Race 3 in 2018. Salman Khan took over as the central protagonist, alongside returning actor Anil Kapoor, while the film introduced a fresh set of characters and a separate narrative.Unlike the first two movies, Race 3 did not generate the same level of audience appreciation, despite the franchise’s established popularity.Since then, Race 4 has remained a subject of frequent speculation. One of the biggest questions surrounding the project has been whether Saif Ali Khan, who led the first two films, could eventually make a return. For now, though, fans will have to wait for the makers to officially reveal who will drive the next chapter of the high-stakes thriller series.
