Robert Pattinson will not be joining James Gunn’s DCU anytime soon. The actor, who is the latest face to play the iconic role of Batman, recently opened up about working on the film. The second film about the caped crusader, starring Pattinson again, is currently in development. In a recent interview, the beloved star opened up about his latest work on the big screen and his plans for ‘The Batman 2.’

The beloved actor, whose latest project, ‘Primetime,’ has officially hit theatres, opened up about his upcoming work as the masked vigilante. While talking to LADbible about his latest film, Pattinson was asked about the expanding universe of DC superheroes and how his relatively serious character would deal with the “brighter” characters. He joked that he’d “make the other characters more serious.”He sat down for the interview with his co-star from ‘Primetime,’ Skyler Gisondo.

Pattinson is part of director Matt Reeves’ vision of Gotham City and The Batman. However, questions arose during the interview about whether he would be looking forward to working with Gunn and joining the expanding and growing universe or not.The actor opened up about not really wishing to expand into Gunn’s universe and the world he created for his characters. He shared, “I think it would be kind of tough to have this version of Bruce outside of [Matt Reeves’] world. It’s one of the only characters, I guess, because of the length of the shoots, but also it’s such a specific kind of thing; the tone of it gets inside you.”He continued, “I remember that happened to me the last time I did it; it took a while. You’re just in the dark the whole time. Both mood-wise and light-wise, I can’t see anything for like months. It does affect you; you feel strange afterward.”
