Famed Korean actor PO, whose real name is Pyo Ji-hoon, has been hospitalised according to recent reports. The actor was in Jeju at the time and was struck by an oncoming vehicle while walking on the road. The actor has recently gone viral for his role in his latest drama, ‘Teach You A Lesson.’ Beyond his acting credits on screen, he debuted as an idol in the popular K-pop group Block B.
PO in hospital following traffic accident
The actor was crossing a road in the Geumneung-ri, Hallim-eup area in Jeju City when an oncoming car struck him. The Chosun Daily reported that the accident occurred on July 19, around 9:56 PM, and that the driver has not been publicly named. While his injuries are not life-threatening, he was still sent to the hospital for treatment and a checkup soon after the accident. He sustained injuries to his elbow and knee and reportedly had continuous body aches at the time of the accident.Jeju West Police Station also reportedly shared a statement on July 22, revealing that the driver was not under the influence at the time. Furthermore, the driver was not violating any traffic rules and was driving in accordance with the law. As of right now, the cause of the accident has not been revealed. Police are currently investigating the matter.According to reports, the actor was in the midst of filming for a variety show as well as an upcoming drama. PO is slated to continue with his ongoing schedule. He last appeared on screen for ‘Teach You A Lesson’, and is also one of the fixed members of the reality TV show, ‘Amazing Saturday.’ He is also currently involved in filming for his upcoming drama series titled ‘Good Partner Season 2.’Some of his other highly praised roles include ‘Hotel Del Luna’, ‘Mouse’, ‘Yumi’s Cells Season 2’, ‘Encounter’, and ‘Good Partner.’ He has also remained active as one of the main rappers and dancers in Block B.
