Tamil cinema is debating remarks made by theatre owners’ association president Tiruppur Subramaniam about producers suffering losses because of actors and directors. Several filmmakers have questioned his claims, stressing that facts must be verified before anyone’s reputation is damaged. The film is still not complete,” he said.He also suggested that producers often remain silent about such experiences, allowing actors and directors to act without being held accountable.Although he did not name anyone, speculation linked the account to ‘Diary’ director Innasi Pandian and producer Kathiresan of Five Star Creations. However, these links were not confirmed in his remarks.
