UGC NET June 2026 result, final answer key to be released this week

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is going to announce the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) June 2026 results shortly. The agency has said that the final answer keys and results for the examination covering 84 subjects will be published on the official NTA website this week.Along with the UGC NET results, the final answer keys for Joint CSIR-UGC NET, ICAR AIEEA PhD and AICTE examinations are also releasing this week.Oandidates will be able to check their UGC NET June 2026 results through the official website at ugcnet.nta.nic.in.

UGC NET June 2026 exam

The UGC NET June 2026 examination was conducted from June 22 to June 30 across 87 subjects.However, examinations for English, Commerce and Sociology are being conducted again after an NTA-appointed committee found multiple errors in the question papers. The errors reportedly included factual, typographical, translation and grammatical mistakes.Candidates should note that the results for the remaining 84 subjects will not be delayed because of the re-examination for these three subjects.The UGC NET examination is conducted to determine eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professor and admission to Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programmes.

UGC NET final answer key 2026

Before declaring the results, NTA completes the answer key challenge process. The provisional answer key and recorded responses are made available to candidates, giving them an opportunity to challenge the provisional answers.The final answer key is prepared after considering valid challenges received during this process.The result is going to be prepared on the basis of the final answer key.

UGC NET result 2026: How to check

Once the result is out, candidates can follow these steps to view their scores:

  • Visit the official UGC NET website at ugcnet.nta.nic.in
  • Look for the UGC NET June 2026 result link on the homepage
  • Enter the required login credentials
  • Submit the details to view the result
  • Check the scorecard and qualifying status
  • Download and save a copy for future reference

UGC NET 2026: Minimum qualifying marks

The minimum aggregate qualifying marks are:

  • General and General-Economically Weaker Section (General-EWS): 40%
  • Other Backward Classes-Non Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL), Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwD/PwBD): 35%

Candidates must secure the required aggregate marks across both papers.
