Varun Tej Konidela has opened up about his relationship with cousin, superstar Ram Charan and his approach toward the latter’s success. The actor said he views Ram Charan’s achievements as a source of inspiration rather than competition.In a chat with NDTV, Varun Tej Konidela explained that he focuses on the effort behind Ram Charan’s career. He said this perspective helps him avoid comparing their respective journeys.“I mean I look at my brother, Charan; he’s a pretty big actor; he’s a very big star. But when I look at him, I see his effort and everything in a sense of where I want to get someday. I see it only in a positive way and not in a comparative state where it kills your joy.”Varun Tej Konidela also expressed his wish to share the screen with Ram Charan. He added, “I’d love to work with him. I really, really adore him. I mean, he’s like a father figure to me, honestly.”

Varun Tej Konidela on comparisons within family

Being part of one of Telugu cinema’s well-known film families often puts Varun Tej Konidela under comparison with other members. The actor, however, believes every performer has a separate path to follow. He said comparisons are bound to happen in the film industry.However, Varun Tej Konidela does not want such discussions to affect his happiness or confidence. The actor believes that comparisons can be viewed as motivation. Instead of allowing them to become a burden, he prefers to concentrate on his own growth and ambitions.The ‘Korean Kanagaraju’ actor added that it’s a struggle to find out what the audience really likes. He said, “It’s always a struggle every Friday. It’s more about trying to understand what the audience wants to see you in, what suits you best and what strengths you have as an actor. It’s always important to strike a good balance between novelty and still giving the audience the entertainment that they want.”

Varun Tej Konidela to act with his father

Varun Tej Konidela also confirmed an interesting development in his upcoming work. The actor is set to share screen space with his father in the movie ‘Bhari’.“Yes, many people keep asking me about sharing screen space with my father, and here is the good news. In my upcoming film Bhari, I am going to share screen space with my father. It is really nice that we are playing a real-life father and son in reel life too,” said Varun Tej Konidela, as quoted by Cinema Express.

Korean Kanakaraju‘ gets positive response

On the professional front, Varun Tej Konidela was recently seen in the horror comedy movie ‘Korean Kanakaraju’. The movie has received generally positive reactions from viewers following its theatrical release.
