Actor Vishal revealed that he suffered a back injury while shooting an intense action sequence for his upcoming film ‘Purushan.’ The accident happened during the climax shoot in Goa, forcing the actor to take a break from his regular commitments. Vishal, who is also the General Secretary of the South Indian Artistes’ Association, confirmed he cannot attend the association’s upcoming general body meeting due to his injury. He also thanked everyone for recovery wishes and prayers.
Vishal reveals details of ‘Purushan’ accident
Sharing an update on social media, Vishal said the injury occurred during a demanding action sequence for ‘Purushan,’ directed by Sundar C. “The climax shoot of my next film, ‘Purushan’, directed by Sundar C, was happening in Goa. During an intense fight sequence, an unexpected accident occurred and I suffered an injury to my back,” Vishal said. The actor immediately underwent a medical examination following the incident and was advised to take complete rest before returning to his regular activities.
Vishal to miss Nadigar Sangam general body meeting
Vishal also expressed disappointment over missing the Nadigar Sangam general body meeting because of the injury. “After the medical examination, the doctors advised me to take three weeks of rest to recover completely. I am extremely sorry that I will not be able to attend the Nadigar Sangam general body meeting taking place tomorrow,” he said. As the association’s General Secretary, Vishal has been involved in several of its activities, making his absence from the meeting particularly significant.

The actor said he understood the importance of meeting members in person and apologised for being unable to attend. “I sincerely regret not being able to come in person and participate. I hope you will understand my situation. I am looking forward to recovering soon and returning to my regular activities,” Vishal said. He also thanked those who contacted him and expressed concern about his condition. “My heartfelt thanks to everyone who is praying for me and enquiring about my well-being with care,” he added.
