Maharashtra HSC 2027: MSBSHSE opens application process, students can register till October 31
The Maharashtra board has begun registration for the HSC February-March 2027 examinations, with applications open until October 31. Eligible students, including regular, repeat and private candidates, can apply through the SARAL system.

The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has started the application process for the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) February-March 2027 board examinations. Regular Class 12 students can now submit their examination forms through the SARAL system using the PFN-ID generated during the previous academic year.The application window opened on August 14 and will remain available until October 31. Students have been advised to complete the process within the deadline and verify all details carefully before submitting the form.

Maharashtra HSC 2027 application process begins

The online registration process will cover regular students appearing for the HSC examination, along with repeat candidates, private students holding an enrolment certificate, and eligible candidates from vocational and other specified categories.For regular students, the board will obtain the required student information from the FYJC online system while processing the examination applications. However, students enrolled in the MCVC and ITI streams whose details are not available on the FYJC system will have to provide their information to the concerned divisional board.Students who have an APPAR ID have also been instructed to enter the ID while completing their application forms.

Late applications allowed after October 31

Students who miss the October 31 deadline will not lose the opportunity to register immediately. The board has provided additional windows for late submission.Candidates can submit their applications by paying a late fee from November 1 to November 15. Those who fail to apply during this period will get another opportunity from November 16 to November 30 by paying an additional late fee.The board has urged schools and students to complete the process within the regular deadline to avoid additional charges and last-minute difficulties.

Maharashtra HSC 2027 photograph guidelines

The board has also issued specific instructions regarding the photograph that students must upload with their examination application. The photograph must meet the prescribed technical and appearance requirements.Students must upload a recent colour passport-size photograph in JPG format, with the file size between 25 KB and 40 KB. The photograph should have been taken within the last six months.The student’s face must be clearly visible, with both eyes and ears appearing properly in the photograph. The image must also comply with the board’s requirements relating to the background, appearance and overall quality.
