NSE IPO listing: The National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) is set to debut on the stock market on September 24, 2026. The shares are scheduled to begin trading on the BSE. With the listing now just a day away, the grey market is indicating a premium of about 2.4%. The premium has moderated from around 4% earlier, pointing to a potentially limited gain over the issue price at the time of listing.As the NSE listing approaches, investors will be watching movements in the grey market premium, the broader market mood and participation from institutional investors. These factors will be closely followed as the exchange prepares for its debut on the BSE.

NSE IPO subscription

The Rs 22,562 crore public issue consists entirely of an offer for sale (OFS). A total of 12.64 crore shares are being offered by existing shareholders. As NSE itself is not selling any shares in the issue, the exchange will not receive money raised through the IPO. The proceeds will instead go to the shareholders participating in the OFS.NSE had set the price band for the issue at Rs 1,700-1,785 per share and fixed the lot size at eight shares. At the current grey market premium of 2.4%, the implied listing price works out to around Rs 1,828 per share, compared with the upper end of the IPO price band at Rs 1,785.Subscription to the IPO began on September 17 and ended on September 21, with the issue drawing strong interest from investors across categories. Overall, the IPO was subscribed 5.71 times. The retail investor portion received 1.39 times subscription, while the non-institutional investor (NII) segment was subscribed 6.55 times. Qualified institutional buyers (QIBs) put in the strongest demand, with their portion receiving 12.68 times subscription.Kotak Mahindra Capital Company Ltd., Morgan Stanley India Company Pvt. Ltd. and HSBC Securities & Capital Markets (India) Pvt. Ltd. have been appointed as the book-running lead managers for the issue. Link Intime India Pvt. Ltd. is serving as the registrar.

NSE IPO GMP Today

The grey market premium (GMP) for the NSE IPO is currently around Rs 43 per share, equivalent to 2.4%, according to an ET report. This is lower than the roughly 4% premium seen earlier.The current premium is calculated against the upper end of the IPO price band, which is Rs 1,785 per share.
