The project will revisit the history that forms the foundation of the film’s narrative.According to the makers, the documentary is based on extensive research conducted over two years. The team wrote on their social media post, “2 years of research. 150 years of forgotten history. What we were told was only one version. What happened was far more devastating.”The makers also explained why they decided to revisit the subject through a separate documentary.
