Malayalam actor and producer Unni Mukundan is set to embark on a new chapter in his career as he turns writer-director with his upcoming 50th film. The actor will not only headline the project but will also write and direct it, making the film a significant milestone in his journey.The yet-untitled project will be backed by Unni Mukundan Films (UMF) in association with filmmakers Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak.

According to a report by IANS, Unni Mukundan described his 50th film as a “very special milestone” and opened up about making his directorial debut with the project.“My 50th film is a very special milestone for me, and being able to step into the role of writer-director makes it even more meaningful. I’ve always wanted to tell stories in my own voice, and this felt like the right project and the right time to take that step,” he said.The actor also expressed his excitement about collaborating with the Panorama Studios team. He said he hopes the film will resonate with audiences across different languages and regions.

‘Drishyam: The Conclusion’ makers team up with Unni Mukundan

Kumar Mangat Pathak welcomed the collaboration and praised Unni Mukundan for establishing himself as a pan-Indian actor.“We are delighted to collaborate with Unni Mukundan and his production house on this exciting Malayalam project.
